The app can also get the GPS coordinates with a link to Google maps if you're not near enough to your phone to hear the ringer. Stolen Phone?
Feel secure knowing that a thief won't be able to access your personal information on your lost phone. In the Pro version you are able to wipe and lock your stolen phone. Locking your phone will make it unusable while you try to track your lost phone's location. If there is no hope of finding your phone, then you can erase your personal information with the wipe feature.

Google Play Protect continually freezes this app and leaves notification that "It's not safe"

How the hell can I prevent GP to stick it's nose into my apps?

Fire up Google Play
Select hamburger (upper left)
Select Play Protect
Select gear (upper right)
De-select "Scan device for security threats"

Weird....I already have Scan device for security threats deselected.
But apparently GP keeps auditing my apps which come not from GP continually in the background.
WMD gets frozen every two or three days, that's denying the sense of the app (as its not able to respond on remote control onwards).
I have WMD installed as system priv app just for the increased immunity against shutting off.

I wonder if this would help - posted today:

Yes, I know it's addressing the symptom and not the cause, but may be worth a try.
