This version doesn't work for me, either. Every time I try to load it, it tells me that my rooted phone does not have root access.
Every version prior to this worked perfectly. It is trying to force me to install BusyBox and Superuser, neither of which I have ever required to have on my phone.

^ Wait, you don't have any version of Superuser or SuperSU, or any variation of BusyBox on your device? And you say you are rooted?
That is extremely strange.
What model phone do you have and what Rom are you running?
Also what method did you use to Root the phone that didn't require a Superuser like app to control root permission access?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm just kind of curious.

I have a ZTE-Z990 (AT&T Avail).
I know what you mean; I am just as confused that I was able to not only root, but to unlock this phone.
It's the stock ROM. Only changes are that I have rooted it, installed a custom kernel so I can overclock it, and unlocked it so I could switch carriers.
The ZTE-Z990 was left with a bunch of developer codes on the stock ROM. Doing a temporary root is no more difficult than just entering a string of numbers and the pound and star keys.
Here is the link to the method I used to unlock the phone, as well as the other information regarding the ZTE Z990's ROM.

So, to recap, it is the stock ROM, kernel updated, unlocked, and somehow I do not need Superuser or BusyBox, but still have complete and full root access.

This is exactly my problem! I have a Samsung Galaxy S with a 4.1 rom and lucky patcher reports that my phone is not rooted! I have superSu setup perfectly and all other apps that require root (TB, Root Explorer, SD Maid etc.) work without any issues. Lucky pathcer also used to work fine, but the last 2-3 versions have this problem for me.
EDIT: And this only happens when I try to patch an app. Otherwise lucky patcher loads just fine.

@Reiki After reading through the how-to's I just have a couple points.
It says unlocking the phone will also unroot the phone, so what did you do first, root then unlock? If so you will need to re root the phone.
Also at the end of the root method the poster says: "Now the phone is rooted, and you are ready to install the Superuser app from the Market." So I still think you need a SU app.

No, it is still rooted. Titanium Backup and ES File Explorer both confirm that my phone is rooted. I have full access to the /system/app folders. I can modify any of the files on my phone. Completely full access.
I have no idea why I have never needed BusyBox or Superuser. Even before I unlocked the phone, it never once required me to have either of those apps installed.
