I used a Multi-tool program from 4pda forums called the "batch-apktool" and used the testkey.pk8 for signing after modifying the app. Here is the link.

I would say the method in xda thread is obsolete, the array to be changed according to the xda thread is the one to locate systemless root whereas that detection is already present in the app (see /sbin/su, which is magisk su basically). Problem occurs after root detection...

The best solution of this problem is with using the magisk module, I've tried it and it works.
