AdFree Android v0.8.45

Overview: AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known host names in the system hosts file.

THIS APP IS FOR ROOTED PHONES ONLY!

AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known host names in the system hosts file.

If you have problems with this app, or you know of additional host names not being filtered, please comment in xda-developers.com forum so it can be fixed!

What's in this version:
0.8.0 Added background image
0.8.2 Added Mongoose, mini web server, and tcpdump to sniff DNS requests
0.8.14 Start TCP dump if enabled when network connection is established
0.8.20 Fixed support for low dpi devices (< 160 dpi)
0.8.36 Added option to wipe TCPdump log
0.8.38 Added prompt to boot normally, or immediately switch to the TCPdump screen
0.8.40 restart TCPdump if needed after wiping the log
0.8.42 fixed webserver listening mistake
0.8.45 fixed expiry

This app has no ads

Does anyone still use this app, or has everyone migrated to AdAway? I havent tried AdFree in a long time .... wonder if its worth taking another look at? Or should I stick to AdAway?

Stick with AdAway, (if you can) it's a much cleaner app, and it has zero bugs.
