Autorun Manager PRO v4.0.1
Requirements: for Android version 2.1 and higher
Overview: Autorun Manager (formerly Autorun Killer) is an ultimate tool that lets you disable all the autostarting apps you don't need. Unfortunately this app is misunderstood many times so please read help carefully and/or mail the developer if you have questions.
Image

There are many applications that automatically start when you turn on your device; many of these you don't use or need, they just consume your valuable resources. This app sports a basic mode for the regular users and an advanced mode for power users with rooted devices.

Autorun Manager in basic mode lets you manage applications that start up when you boot your device. Applications are terminated right after they start, but if the application is programmed to restart itself this can fail. Please note that some applications are written so that they cannot be stopped because of the android system design. These kind of applications are marked as 'self-restarter' and are better to leave enabled.

In advanced mode you gain control over all the system-wide events and enable-disable application starts. This is the ultimate solution to control what you want to be started, but you also can break apps, so this feature is only for experienced users with rooted devices.

Donators and PRO users receive additional features:
- no ads
- basic mode's prevent restart feature is selectable
- can block more than 2 receivers in advanced mode
- Chuck Norris mode enabled

What's in this version : (Updated : jan 2, 2013)
speed improvements
disable all receivers of an app from context menu
application freezing (PRO only)
number of disabled receivers is raised to 10 for free users
you can now select in preferences to directly start with advanced/basic mode
searchable list in advanced/basic (search for app name or receiver)
improved and fast filtering
updated UI
improved root handling
fixed row expanding
updated libraries
better and faster pro key handling
added EULA

I got the exact same problem I had in the other thread.

"Pro license validation was not successful! You need working internet connection to validate. Please contact the developer in case the problem persists".

I got working internet connection on my phone but I keep getting that when I go into Basic mode or Advanced mode.

Help would be really appreciated.

Please read...

1 - delete all autorun installed
2 - copy the 3 files to the directory where your titanium puts the backups
3- Install the normal AUTORUN the version 4.01 normally
4 - execute it and after close it
5 - with Titanium - restore the autorun pro... ALL

that's all

I did it exactly as you said, and still have the same problem.

It works for me now. VZW SG3 "Beans" JB Build 8.

I just used the version from the Market. It's newer anyway.

I'm not sure what seems to be hard about following the instructions; they worked for me as intended without issue.

1. Extracted the TB contents to TB folder.
2. Restore app+data of the key.
3. Installed the latest autorun from the market.
4. Profit?

:)

A quick question. I've never installed anything like this before, so forgive my ignorance.

In Titanium Backup, which restore option should I use?
"Restore missing apps with data" says it has 1 item; I assume that's the Autorun files.
"Restore all apps with data" seems unnecessary, since it's just one app I'm trying to "restore".

Do I need to do anything with the "Autorun Manager v4.0.1.apk" file? The directions only mentioned the 3 files in the RAR file.

Once the titanium backup files are in the titanium backup folder just open up titanium back. Scroll to autorun manager pro 1.5. It Should be down near the button of the app list since it shouldn't be installed yet. Once you find it click it, press restore, and it will ask you if you wish to restore app or app + data. Press app + data, then install auto run from The market. :)

Edit: you can skip the auto run 4.0.1 apk install as the market one is updated to 4.0.2. :)

Thanks! That was really helpful. Now I'm trying to figure out what a "busybox" is. It says I need it installed in order for the app to work completely. I'm sure it's fairly straightforward.

Edit: Hm, it tells me "Pro license validation was not successful!" Not sure why.

Sorry guys I'm not sure what is different about you guys. It worked on my end and a buddy's device as well. Perhaps it depends on the device/OS installed. Galaxy nexus here and my friends is a nexus 4. Try messaging the original poster of this thread for help. :)
