It's probably because you didn't check the main site. I suggest to all of you "read" before you do things. Check here:

http://system.in-appstore.com/freedom/

There are instructions about not to mess up Play Store.

yeah, make sure you open the app and "stop" the service first. otherwise your store will get fucked up. if you uninstalled freedom, just re-install, stop the service, then uninstall.

Does this work with v4.0.25 of the Playstore?

This shouldn't come as a suprise. Everybody was aware of the app. I believe that made google rush for the new market.

Watch the video in the link Pondera provided. Shows what it does and how to use it.
Basically it makes in app purchases free.
Also make sure you don't have the latest Playstore :( Damn thing was pushed to my phone and installed on its own, I hate the new layout. Even after uninstalling the update it still auto updates. I've got just enough time before it reupdates to use Freedom once or twice.

Right, so all you need is to freeze /system/app/MarketUpdater.apk, you can do it manually or use TitaniumBackup to do so.

Where would I find that? I'm not seeing it in TiBu or using Astro. What would the path be in 4.2?

Just go to XDA and get the modded market that has no.update, no.restrictions ect, that way you won't have to work about the auto update feature or using a 3rd party app to freeze the market updater

@scoro & cmlx

Oh i see. It's for apps that charge you more to buy add on's for their apps ... ?\

i noticed some apk developers do that. You buy an app for say 5 usd, but once you got it, they ask for another 5 usd to get some plugin for it >->;
