Is it possible to modify the apk, allowing us to backup apps without encryption? (like titanium bk).
Unfortunately if, after a backup, I try to manually open the backup dat file (which contains the app data), it asks me for a password that I don't know....
the creator of the app says it's for a security issue :? and which has no plans to add an option to remove backup encryption  ......if you could permanently remove backup encryption, that would be great! 8)

Wow thanks so much for this really just helped before and after wanting to do a factory reset on my phone since I just had an Ota update. Wanted to he'll some non root users if they experience what I just did that I was able to fix. Backup worked very well without needing to do anything extra although restoring from cloud was really slow. What I did to fix that was downloaded non root version of lsposed and added the core patch module. Then in lsposed setting turned on the keep alive tab. Then patched the app locally with lsposed and module scoped the core patch with the patched version of this mod u made and man it was a hell of difference in restore speed. I assume the non root version was getting throttled because of the signature verification after trying to restore some Google apps I had(noticed after restoring the first Google app that it tried that's when the speed was slowed way down). Steps I just explained that I took though fixed all that so if anyone has trouble with restore speed what I just did was super quick and easy to set up and resume the restore process. Hope this helps. Again thanks so much for this mod really just saved me so much time I really appreciate it

Delete old apps from the backup that are not installed on the device any more?

Swift backups apps on the device but does not delete old apps from the backup that were uninstalled from the device. How to get rid of those old apps from the backup?
Is there an option in Swift to make an exact mirror or do i have to delete the whole backup and make a new one?

@mobilismatic: thanks. Do you mean, it's necessary to delete backed up apps one by one from the backup?

You're welcome, @nikoski — by the method illustrated on my screenshot, just one backup can be deleted at a time.

However, if multiple backups need to be deleted, one might want to navigate to the SwiftBackup directory using a suitable File Explorer to mark & delete as required — however, one would need to know the codename of the associated app.

BTW, the above 2 methods can be used to delete backups of apps. which are no longer installed . . . and those that are, as well.

Yep, I just prefer to take the screenshot on my SmartPhone — then, I transfer the image to my PC . . . for due edits & subsequent sharing at these forums. :)

Thanks. In this case, i think, it'll be less fussy to simply delete all and make a new backup. :?
