It makes inapp purchases free. It doesn't work on server based games.

anyone running in to issues launching freedom and it just sits there in with the little screen saying "Please Wait..."??

You don't need a patched store to use this app. You need to change your timezone to Moscow, change system language to Russian, then run the app. It will let you purchase in-app purchases in a lot of games/apps, but not all. If you want to uninstall it, you must go to Settings and "STOP" service.

I just hit airplane mode and switch my timezone to Moscow (+4 I believe), no need to change the language. Could be confusing going back...
