Great app thanks for your work! Everything's working for me except the download feature. It always crashes when I hit yes to confirm download.. I've tried changing download folder from internal storage to external but the app always force closes. It must be something device specific because I installed it on a friends phone and it worked fine.

Here's a logcat and device info: https://www.mediafire.com/?dsa2vmapkcv38pq

Edit: Just read your post and got it working using "/storage/emulated/0/pandora"

Thanks, that was the issue. Working great now in UK

mistermojorizin wrote:if i play pandora through dolphin browser, with desktop useent set, and flash plugin always enabled, there's a setting that lets me get 192kbps mp3 streaming (i just got a free 1 year of pandora one), just like on my desktop computer. would there be a way to enable this stream in the app using the xposed pandora patcher?

also, you probably know this, but 64aac+ is comparable to a 128kbps mp3 (because mp3 is inherently lower quality). So unless we can get the 192 mp3 or at least a 160 mp3, it won't sound better than the 64kbps aac+ that's stock on the mobile app.

There is no way to get 192kbps mp3 with free accounts. I currently have my build taking the links and doing nothing with them besides outputting to logs. I need a reliable way of storing 4 URLs in an array and queuing the appropriate one for download. When Pandora requests a new playlist, it stores data for 4 songs. as far as playing the MP3s instead of the aac+ mp4s, I can attempt to replace the highquality link with the mp3 link and hope it plays. Pandora only supplies 128kbps and 192kbps (for Pandora One subscribers only) MP3s, nothing in between.

i've got a pandora one subscription, but i still don't get the 192kbps on the app (only in dolphin with the desktop user agent set). was wondering if the app could be patched with pandora patcher module to unlock that high quality stream

This will tell you why you still get 64kbps AAC+ in the app. http://help.pandora.com/customer/portal/articles/90985-audio-quality

That worked perfect! I should have tried that before but just never thought of it. Tested after reboot as well working just fine.

Thanks!

Just a quick update on what I've been up to:
• I am able to get 128kbps mp3 links from Pandora. I'm interested in getting that free 1 year Pandora One trial that was mentioned (mind hooking me up? for science?) to test 192kbps mp3 compatibility.
• I was able to disassemble the mess that Pandora spits out when retrieving playlists.
• I was able to replace the highQuality mp4 url with the 128kbps mp3 url (I'd like to test 192kbps, please hook me up, pretty please) and reassemble it back to the original mess
• Pandora is able to play mp3s and queuing a download, downloads the mp3.
• I plan on making mp3 support a Pandora One feature since it was mentioned that 128kbps mp3 is about the same as 64kbps AAC+, so I don't think there is much reason to support it (I'm not an audio engineer so I don't know diddly squat about that, I only reverse engineer). Should I support 128kbps mp3?

I've only tested so far with a free account which gives only 128kbps mp3's. My patcher requests both 128 and 192kbps but only 128 comes back due to Pandora One restrictions. I think with a Pandora One account, both requests will return links, so I need to come up with a way to handle that case.
