How do you access Pandora One to get the 192Kps file? Does one need to pay for it to access it even with the patcher?

Currently you need a Pandora one subscription to use that particular future. So currently you need to pay for a subscription to get the 192Kps file.

i have a pandora one account. does clicking the "use pandora credentials" enable to 192kbps? Also, what should I check with the 128kbps options? Confusing because no option in the app actually says use 192kbps.

Just choose Pandora one credentials. I'll rework the language to be a bit clearer.

Using the reverse engineered Pandora api, I swapped partner authorization login credentials to that of the Pandora one desktop client, as well as the Pandora server. If you may recall, the region bypass changes the server as well from tuner.pandora.com to a custom IP. For Pandora one, I change the server from tuner.pandora.com to internal-tuner.pandora.com. That server gives us 192kbps MP3s

Hello, everyone!

For those of you Pandora One subscribers that would like to use the new 'Pandora One Account' option within Pandora Patcher while also bypassing region restrictions, the following configuration should work in theory until such a time that Pandora Patcher is able to natively support both functionalities (if it doesn't already).

1) Add the following four lines to your 'hosts' file (Yes, I realise that three of the IP addresses are the same and that having them as such seems counter-intuitive. However, these are the records that the ProxyDNS name servers have provided.).
Code: Select all50.116.28.138 pandora.com
50.116.28.138 www.pandora.com
162.243.7.155 tuner.pandora.com
50.116.28.138 internal-tuner.pandora.com

2) Reboot your device.

3) Make sure that the 'Bypass Region License' option in Pandora Patcher is unchecked.

*Also, please report back as to whether or not having the above configuration worked as I can not test it since I do not have access to a Pandora One account.

Pandora patcher doesn't support region bypass for Pandora one yet but it might soon. I say might because to login to the Pandora one server, https is mandatory and the app might have trouble logging in if I hard code a custom IP.

As long as you still use an https connection I don't really foresee any problems. I mean I suppose it's possible that the Pandora application could flag the SSL certificate that is provided as invalid since it would not have been obtained from a domain name that the certificate itself lists as valid, but I would tend to doubt it. Furthermore, even if that did happen, one could simply prevent the certificate from being flagged in the first place and a valid connection would still be made.

I don't think that IP for internal-tuner.pandora.com will work. Try this address which should work without logging in (it just determines if you're allowed to use the service) Try either http or https.
Code: Select allhttps://50.116.28.138/services/json/?method=test.checkLicensing

It will lead to a 404 and not the expected output which is
Code: Select all{"stat":"ok","result":{"isAllowed":true}}

which you get if you try the other IP for tuner.pandora.com
Code: Select allhttp://162.243.7.155/services/json/?method=test.checkLicensing

Since we now have 192kbps MP3s, I understand that most of us with Pandora One accounts would like to redownload music at the higher quality so I'm adding a check for the bitrate if we're Pandora One and if the bitrate is not 192kbps, delete the MP3 and download again.

I'm a newbie(dummy) to smart phones and their apps.

I have downloaded and installed a few without a hitch or problem.

I'm having a problem with Pandora patcher... in the requirements it lists Xposed framework 2.6.1+, root

What is this? Where do I get it and where does it get installed?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
