Tried this out and its pretty useful for simple things. For example, say you have a custom bootanimation.zip (custom startup animation) you can simply put the custom file on your SD card, and move it to the correct location, without using commands via ADB or a terminal emulator.

For extensive mods you will need to still run commands, but for some simple editing this works great.

Recommend it for people who have root access and frequently edit system files. You can use this to rename the pre-installed apps on the Motorola DROID (such as the amazon mp3 app, coporate email app etc) which cant be removed through the phone's normal interface.
