Yes,you need root to use the patch!

It works on my Samsung but i cannot read anything except bold font
All the fonts are very strange
I cannot use

I guess its either root or forget about the whole SPB shell on unrooted phones. Seen quite some patches but all require rooted phones.

I've been Lucky! Works like a charm!!! I can even use Market without problem, no need to freeze it. At last!

Installed and working on my Transformer (rooted). Patcher worked a treat and no issues noted so far

i was the first to upload the crack and i uploaded it only after i confirmed it's working on my phone. at my post people also confirmed it's working

It's working great. No tricks need to be done, works after reboot too.

If root is required you should say that in your post. Still a great release though

I can confirm this WORKS on a Samsung GS2. You need to give the patcher superuser rights (so you need a rooted phone).
I tested the android market after install and it is not frozen, you can still search/ download and upgrade programs through it. The SPB Shell 3D is not listed there, I guess that's what the patcher does. Thanks for a nice release and clear instructions
