Most of us view threads because they are of interest to us. When activity occurs we look at the thread thinking that whatever is posted is constructive and relevant to the topic at hand.

Thank you posts bring absolutely nothing to the table - to the contrary they are a waste of everyone's time , starting with the op that will usually verify the threat to make sure that there is nothing wrong with it (ie bad links or not working)

There is a Thank You button - the purpose of it is to show appreciation to the op
