Is there any difference between both of them?

Thanks

It keeps on saying the file "picselbrowser" is not signed with a trusted certificate or some of its components cannot be found.
I have tried reinstalling it in many ways and many places it still doesn't work.

I really hope that somebody can give me a hand here.

1.05 worked from me after i installed on top of the 1.0.0.
i am using it on my trinity. no visible big difference from the 1.0.0. except the splash screen.

v1.2 is very hardware specific and only works on some units. It was preinstalled on HP iPAQ 4700 units as far as I know and so is designed only to work on certain ipaq's. I am not 100% sure about any of this but I think it is the reason alot of you are having problems with that version.

There is an extention of this conversation going on over at XDA-Developers. One guy opened up the exe and found a list of HP device names. Another guy tried it out on his 4700 only to find that it isn't VGA aware and doubles pixels, making surfing an unpleasant experience. If you want to know more or are willing to try to crack 1.2 to work on all machines, surf on over and join the discussion. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=346856

Is it just me, or do we all spend so much time flashing and tweaking the perfect phone that, once we finish, we have no one left willing to call us.

@Sn00pX - I'm sure this will help people out. Can you share the secret of where and how you edited so others can fix their cabs for their various languages?

The fixing prozess was really easy ...
I used "winCE Cabmanager" to edit the .cab file of picsel browser

winCE Cabmanager + crack
HERE...

the original .cab includes registry entrys like .../programm files/picsel browser/....

you can find them under
-HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Picsel Technologies Ltd./Picsel Browser
and
-HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Picsel Technologies Ltd./Picsel Browser/Paths
(while you´re using winCE)

all you have to do is change all the values from ../program files/picsel browser/....
to whatever "program files" is in your language, for example
I´m from Germany and the translation for "programm files" is "programme"
so i changed ../program files/picsel browser/.... into ../programme/picsel browser/....

that´s all you have to do....
really easy just be exact and don´t forget anything...
might help someone (sry for my bad english)

I was able to acquire the installation cd of picsel browser ver 1.2 .
It was reported that it is able to run on PDAs not from HP so you can have a go.
This file is an ISO file so you will need an emulator like deamon tools.
I was however unable to get it to work on my PDA which is an iPAQ6965. :(

Damn, it's a 180MB .iso with 60some times the setup.exe!

Which one to take?

It is version 1.2, but when starting I get "Picsel Browser is not licensed for this device and will now close"
I picked two random installer versions.

mmmhhh....

That link points to a 2.8 MB file. How can I get the installation CD iso?

Thanks!

@portmna0
the 2.9MB file is the iso as I said. it contains the same file about 60 times. so zipped it gets reduced to 2.9 mb

@harddrive
that#s what I did. no success
