Overview: The concept of VsNotepad 2 is to note, change pages and view your notes like a true notepad. VsNotepad 2 allows you to organize your notes with a modern, simple, complete interface.


Create books:
In this new version, you are now able to create books. Each book can be personalized with icons, name and the paper color. This is the best way to organize your notes.

Tracing tools and other functionalities:
VsNotepad 2 includes various indispensable functions. Select the sizes, colors, geometrical shapes (line, circle and rectangle) and much more ! You can also write a text with a virtual keyboard.
The calculator allows you to calculate and to note directly without switching to other softwares.
VsNotepad 2 also offers you the possibility to remind your notes with a sound alarm at anytime of the day, even though your PDA is switched off.

Navigate between your pages:
You can navigate between every page by using the left and right key or by clicking on each page corner. When you leave and relaunch the software, it resumes precisely where you have left, without reloading the page. You can save your pages in JPEG format and transfer them, for example, by email, infrared or Bluetooth.

fantastic release! ability to create books in this version is impressive. vsnotepad v2 had some bugs and i had to soft-reset my device whenever i deleted a page however not all of the times. what an on-time update

Comment: When it comes to taking notes on-the-fly, we will generally grab for a piece of paper and a pen. But why? We always have our trusty mobile device in our pocket and it has Microsoft Note app built-in. For a quick note, it's OK but otherwise, it's a bit lacking in many of the more advanced features.
New on the market as of September 2008 is VsNotepad v2.1. And there is nothing lacking in this notepad. This is more like the good old pocket notebook made of paper and held together by a spiral binder at the top. Virtual Spaghetti, the developer of this tool, has conjured up a well constructed, easy to use note taking application.
After installation, you are asked to set up the first book. It's where you keep your notes. You can have up to 32 books, and each book can contain up to 99 pages. So you could have a book for notes, a book for shopping lists and so on.
On the main note taking page there are two option bars at the top, Tools and Menu. From the Tools bar you have control over the main functions such as pen width, color, underlining, eraser, etc. There is also a text function, in which you can add text via a customizable virtual keyboard. At the bottom of the page there are further options which are fairly well self-explanatory thanks to the clear icons. Despite all these menus and function features, the actual note taking area is still large enough to offer room for most needs.
While setting up a new page, you have the option to pick a background color for the page. You can use this option to visually distinguish one book from another. Unlike Microsoft Notes you are limited to the size of the page. If you need more space then you will need to start a new page. You can choose between three pen sizes and six predefined ink colors. If you don't like the colors on offer there is also a palette function in which you can define the color of your choice.
Certainly something that you won't find in Microsoft Notes is calculator, but VsNotepad has one. Just tap the icon to pop it up. It also allows you to add numbers to your notes via the calculators keyboard. Another function that you will find it very useful is the alarm. The ability to save the page as a JPEG lets you have your notes opened in any device and operating system. Setting the alarm is easier than making an appointment in your calendar.
as the conclusion, this is a really great application for taking notes on-the-fly. It does what it says on the box and then a bit more. You can create a book for certain items, be it a to-do list, a shopping list or even a reminder, and it takes no time at all. It has an alarm function that is good enough to replace your calendar. However, on older devices with less RAM it can be a bind to get it running. It does require a minimum of 5MB before you can launch the application.
