I agree. Being able to create PDF from images is nice, but it's a terrible waste of the PDF format when something like a JPEG image (which nearly all phone cameras do) would be just as universal and less trouble. But if they ever do add OCR, this could be an awesome product!
(Incidentally, OCR is optical character recognition, if anyone isn't familiar with the term. It allows you to create editable text from an image of text.)

This looks like a much more useful version of this app - it looks like it does OCR as well:

I'd probably get some headache uploading documents to some unknown destination to get them OCR'ed. Something real cool would be some kind of OmniPage Plugin for Win Mobile which allows you to take snapshots with the camera and when you connect your PDA to your PC to get both sync'd, OmniPage would ask you automatically, if you'd like to have your snapshots OCR'ed.

Thanks!
Everytime I try on my Omnia it gives me an Out-of Memory error.![]()
I ran SK Tools: Free Ram but that didn't help either.
The program runs; I registered it, it takes the picture but when I hit the send icon it goes to the error.
Where did you install it on your Omnia? I put it on MyStorage, maybe that's the trouble?
Edit: Removed it and reinstalled it on my device. Same out of memory error.
Tried disabling Touchflo and then running it. Same out of memory error when it goes to process page.
Any ideas? I could really use this program.
Thanks,
lbhi
I installed it directly to the removable card, not the internal storage. It worked without any problems.

Thanks a ton....
works great on my HTC P3400i (Gene) Windows 6.0,just had 1 query about camera resolution.
When a start scanning of pages , the camera resolution is fixed to 1 megapixel (phone camera is 2 MP) and can't be changed,is there any possible way that scanning can be done with better resolution.

It'll be very nice too.
The best would be to use the phone itself to do this. Unfortunately, I think the most pda processor won't be to able to OCR'ing too much pages.
