Requires root because you need to drop files in /data

0) If you already have MM 367 installed you must uninstall it first (368 has been resigned so the cracked libraries can be included, but this means you can't install over the top of the old version, sorry)

1) Install apk
2) Run app and get a bit of a base map (if first run, app won't startup without it)
3) Recommend you block the app with a firewall
4) Copy *.res files to /data/data/com.memorymap.mm1/files/Memory-Map-License/
5) Copy *.lic files to /data/data/com.memorymap.mm1/files/Memory-Map-License/<deviceid>/
(the <deviceid> folder will have been created on first run)
6) Run app and confirm licenses from the menu: Settings -> Map Licenses -> Show Licenses

Thanks. Working after reboots. Only problem I had was it set up another deviceid after the first reboot. Probably I didn't fully delete all files from previous version (or even remotely follow the instructions)

hmm... my /data folder is empty. nothing inside. i use astro file manager

Its not the data folder on the sd card, its the data folder on the phone. Use root explorer.

thanks dinky. the root explorer was the solution.
Now about the maps. I have older maps of memory map and i don't know where i have to put them to be recognized by the software

Well I managed to get MM 2.3 installed on my Sammy and by following the posts and replies between vagosg and Dinky, managed to get the .res and .lic files copied across too.

On Dinkys further advise, I copied all the map files (very kindly supplied by cartomancer) over to a /download/Memory-Map folder I created on my SD card.
Unfortunately the MM program is on my phone's card and doesn't seem to be able to find the maps on my SD card.
Any help would be appreciated.
