Can't help, sorry. Can't test it. Don't have the maps. I would have thought if the Classic Map Compatibility license was active, it should work.

Saying all that, this is still a beta, so it could be a problem with the app.

I'm seeing the same problem since I upgraded to ICS. A-Z maps worked fine on Gingerbread but asks to go online on ICS.

Are you sure you copied the lic files to the correct deviceID? (thats my last grasp at answering)

DeviceID would change on upgrading to ICS

Had to do a factory reset to get ICS working properly so there was only one deviceID folder. My 1:25k o/s maps are working but A-Z and 1:50k try to go online.

Whats the folder structure on your device?

010000C6.res and 210000C6.lic are the two files you need. They deal with Classic Map Compatibility.

Android Folder Structure

/data
***/data
******/com.memorymap.mm1
*********/cache
*********/files
************/builtin
************main_view.mmtf
************marks+routes.mmtf
************/Memory-Map-License
****************00000104.res
****************010000C6.res
****************/A7FR5RF ( THE <deviceid> FOLDER CAN BE CALLED ANYTHING LIKE THAT))
*******************20000104.lic
*******************210000C6.lic
************memory_map.ini
************tracks.mmtf
*********/lib
************libmemorymap.so
*********/shared_prefs

Only thing that strikes me is the fact you are linking to the US site, as its asking for payment in $.

The licence and res files are pretty basic in structure.

When I remove the licence file, it asks me if I want a demo, or to activate.

Try getting the res files and lic file from the download and reinstall these two files. Hopefully it'll overwrite whats already on your device, or post the res and lic from you phone here.

I'm using the ones from the download in the first post. Odd that it goes to the US site but I suppose that's down to the original app.

What original app?

The app in the first post has been cracked and links to the UK site if you're in the UK. The app from the memorymap servers hasn't been cracked.

Or have I misunderstood your term "original".

I'd basically, at this point, remove memorymap from your phone, remove all the folders/files from data/data/com.memorymap.mm1 and start again
