Thank you for the replies. I cannot find any Memory map folder on the phone in the internal memory.
The only reference to MM is in the Download folder on the SD
I have uninstalled and re-installed MM and it always installs it to the Download folder on the SD. Only these folder/files are there,
DMS folder
.nomedia.
Where is the rest of the install?
This is not really worth wasting any more time.

You phone needs to be rooted to see the relevant folders.
The folders are on the phones internal memory (I stuffed up when I said they were on the sd card - my bad)
You need a program like Root Explorer to see the folders on the phones internal memory.

3) Recommend you block the app with a firewall
how to? can we just add some link/ip to host file or something??

The maps available on here (2011 1:25000 maps) need the LIC and RES files that are on the first post.
The maps from Memorymap servers can't be cracked.

Don't block the app. If you do the cracked licences won't validate.

Think these guys are having the same problem as I have Dinky. The new 2011 maps do work on this app with the lic files provided in the download, but you need to block the app from accessing the internet. I dont do host files and all that but what I installed was droidwall from the market and it works a treat.

If you do NOT let the android app access the memorymap servers then the lic file will not validate and the maps won't work. There is no harm in allowing the android (or the PC app) free access to the internet, infact its essential to get the lic files validated.
2011 maps are here

Thing is dinky, when i give the app access to the internet thats when i get the sign in error and I end up being unable to view the newer maps, though the older ones work fine. Maybe its a problem with ICS but I had the same problem going back to GB. It seems to be once your account becomes duff (remember the details from my memory map account in the other thread) then thats it. I always have to block the app.. Maybe its the way I install it that causes the problems, I have no idea but clearly from this and the previous thread Im not the only one.

I have a strange problem. This was all working fine on my zte Blade phone and I used old 2004 o/s maps with no problems.
I tried to install on a second Blade phone and had problems with the pld landranger maps.
The legacy Landranger (1:50,000) ordnance-survey maps request log-in when opened. The legacy 1:25,000 maps DO work though, and they are under the same cracked licence.
