Word Lens v1.2.1
Requirements:
Overview: See the world in your language!
See the world in your language -- instantly translate printed words from one language to another with your built-in video camera, in real time!

Image

NOTE: This paid version of Word Lens INCLUDES ONE LANGUAGE pack. Additional language packs can be purchased within the app.

Available language pairs:
+ English ⇆ Spanish
+ English ⇆ French
+ English ⇆ Italian

Word Lens gives you translation on the go:
- NO NETWORK required - results appear immediately on your video screen when you need it, anywhere in the world.
- Easy to use, like the regular camera
- Look up translations by typing them in, or clicking on a word.

Notes for getting the best quality out of your translations:
- Best used on clearly printed text (e.g. signs, menus)
- DOES NOT recognize handwriting or stylized fonts
- It's not perfect, but you can get the general meaning!
- Keep text in focus by holding it at least one hand-length away and tap-to-focus if autofocus is struggling.
- Turn on the flashlight (if available on your device)
- Zoom in (if available on your device)

Some features are device dependent. Not all device cameras can zoom, nor do all devices have a flashlight.

Tried it several times, doesn't work.
What's the initial language you start with? I tried every possible combo, but you never know...

I started with the spanish pack, the replaced the xml file accessed the app and it told me again to choose a language, chose spanish again and replaced the xml again and it worked.
I checked the file again and it seems that some options were changed, so I'm uping the xml that my phone is currently using: http://depositfiles.com/files/2gfyqhiie

Hope it works

I did exactly what you did with the new xml you provided. Same as before: doesn't work for me.
But at least I can delete the xml to get back to the language picker - so actually I can use alle three languages ;-)

Weird, I tried again to reinstall the app and this procedure worked for me.
This time I did a backup with TB if you wish to test it, but I don't know what else to do, it works fine for me on a Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.3
