This is apparently the last USEFUL and PRACTICAL version of this once well designed app.
Unfortunately its animated map views seem to die, do no longer work or download trends only in odd fractions. The developer abandoned this great program and replaced it with an ugly, confusing and impractical rev 5.x. I always feared that it would simply lose functionality over time.

I never found a good alternative, any advice? WeatherPro 4.8 had the best screen layouts, the most precise and easily readable trend charts per day, oodles of animated satellite maps, was customizable as to display order and layout.
A real shame.

I coudn´t agree more with you...my weather app for years until it changed UI and became useless. I´ve been using "transparent weather" by Master Balatan ever since this happened, not the same but I guess it does it work , just in case you´re willing to try>
