If it can help to @youarefinished I'll report my feed about..
Samsung A52S 5G no root Android 13 --> animated weather backgrounds works perfectly (selectable from list).

One Plus Nord rooted Android 12 --> animated weather backgrounds doesn't work (not selectable from list).

Thanks for further investigation.

I noticed that where it works, it is because the "tapping" on the background animated weater it provide a real little download of the selected feature directly from the Google Play Store... shown as "additional file for Transparent clock and weather" status bar notification...
So I guess on that devices where the "tapping" action doesn't react in any way, is it because from some way it is not possible (or forbidden, not allowed) get the necessary files from the Google Play Store..
The mistery is to catch the way for some reason some devices are able to get that files and some other they can't..

Hope that this condition may help you to further investigate on this behaviour..

All pairip based apps (including all apps from this developer) won't have any updates from my side till I can find a fix to patch it. ZackModz helped previously but google updated its protection again so there's no known method available publicly and whoever knows won't share it so consider them to be dead till we find a way again.

Assume this is the issue if there's no updates of some of my mods.

@youarefinished Well, thats unfortunate. This was nice app. I was used it as an alternative to my favourite "Beautiful Widgets Pro v5.7.8". Sadly it stopped working two weeks ago, because of some changes in the both forecast providers api. It is possible to patch this app somehow and only change the forecast provider to for example Foreca?
That will be great, because the app alone still works fine, even after all those years.
