Overview: GolfCard Pro is a GolfCard but with significantly enhancements based on two years of customer feedback (existing customers should click here to see how to transition to GolfCard Pro). We improve the entire presentation and usability of GolfCard Pro to make it a joy to use. With all these changes, GolfCard has become the most full featured, easy to use, golf tool for the casual and competition golfer.
Here are the primary list of new features:
USHandicap Integration
•Create a FREE USHandicap account right from within GolfCard, for every player.
•Optionally purchase a subscription to obtain an official USGA handicap Index right from within GolfCard (iPhone/iTouch only). If you have a USGA membership, then you can download your latest USGA handicap index to begin each round, even in a USGA sanctioned tournament.
•Always have the option to download (sync) with any score card changes made on the USHandicap server, so GolfCard will always be up to date with tee, par, and handicap values.
•Go to the USHandicap.com website to see you fantastic collection of statistics based on the rounds you have uploaded.
Range Finder Enhancements
•Traced images. This is a fantastic new feature that will revolutionize range finders:
•Free access for a calendar year if you trace 9 holes via GolfCardMGR, or 99 cents USD otherwise to help support new development.
•Incredible contrast in bright sunlight.
•Uses a patent pending technology to make touching the screen minimal. As you walk the image will automatically rotate, center, and scale, to always make sure the golfer is at the bottom and the center of the green is at the top of the screen.
•A much improved editor so you can mark an unmarked course if satellite images do not exist for the course, or to just quickly update incorrect markers.
•Can now upload updated marker locations, to keep the golf community in sync.
•Much improved GPS control to better control battery usage.
•For users without a GPS, or the GPS signal is bad, you can optionally set the location manually by tapping your approximate location on the screen, then you can go back to checking out layup points. This is great for iPod Touch users.
Club Bag (new feature)
•Can define the set of clubs that you will be using, and avoid the clutter of seeing all clubs.
•From the range finder screen, you can track every hit you make.
•From the range finder screen, you can, with one tap, see your club stats so you can decide which club to use next.
•When recording a club hit, you can optionally record the tee off distance or first putt distance to the score card, so no more inconvenience of having to manually enter that.
Scoring Enhancements
•You can download you current USGA handicaps every round you play (subscription required for each player).
•As stated above with the Club Bag features, the tee off distance and first putt distance can be automatically entered if tracking your shots within the range finder.
•The graphics have been enhanced to make it great to look at, and much easier to see in bright sunlight.
•Tapping a player name on the front or back nine will show you player stats for the round.
•With each golfer, you can set if you want to see scoring details right on the score card.
