Just a quick question. Why would I want this over the very low resource stock HTC flashlight app? I'm just curious if there's an advantage to using this. Thanks.

It is free with an ad across the bottom.(I don't know if there is a paid one)
It is an .apk within an .apk, my phone does not work with that, had to use winzip on the desktop first.

What's the HTC one do?
This one controls the camera LED, has a screen light, warning light, light bulb, color light and police lights.

HTC has low, medium and high for the rear "flash" LEDs. There's no screen "flashlight" function. I believe when you shoot a picture with my EVO (stock ROM) there's an option for flash output, I'd have to double check though.

It sounds like the HTC one does more with the LED. This is only on/off for the LED(I only have a front one) and the screen stuff.

He'd probably be better off with color flashlight. It has more screen flashlight functions.
This one has a better UI and controls the LED, if color flashlight controlled the LED it'd be the one I would use.
