nope... thats why i am asking about unlocked version. I don't want to root my phone as it may void warranty. Patchers available require root access.

Except that generally you will only unroot your phone when you need to have it serviced, which means you probably dropped it, which could mean that you don't have the ability to unroot the phone, like if the screen doesn't work or your PC doesn't recognize your device.

I root all my phones no matter what because the warranty is usually a rip anyways, so it's usually cheaper just to buy another phone off of Craigslist and then just SIM swap. Having a good case is the best investment.
