I know the app has a lot of nice features, but as far as articles are concerned you can always install Google Play Newsstand and then use the custom patch in Lucky Patcher to read unlimited articles that way.

guy illsmoker's patch works, for premium content like lex, you can use the website, where you can access all the premium content by switching your user-agent to Google. you can do the same with your chrome on mobile, but you will need a root for that.

True and thank you for pointing me in this direction. LP is the way to go and much more efficient, covering multiple news sources. Even though it is for an older version of Newstand, the LP patch works great on my phone (N6) but for some reason not on my tablet (N9). Maybe because it is Arm64 ? Patch completes on the tablet like the phone but Newstand instantly FC's after patching. The tablet is def preferred for reading the news, but until the LP patch is updated I am having to use individual APK's the "old fashioned way"

No need for LP or other user agent strings. All articles can be viewed inside the app.
You may need to restart it after the login to fully recognize your new premium status.
