1) Make sure you are force closing and clearing the NHL app data before spoofing.

I believe it only spoofs GPS location, not Wifi location or network location. Since your phone can use a combination of those to determine location, I recommend going into your phone's settings and forcing it to use only GPS to locate. For my Samsung Galaxy S4 (running a GPE ROM) I go to Settings > Location > Mode > and select Device Only, which has the description "Use GPS to determine your location."
If it's still not working, I recommend trying
GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES:
• force close the app
• wipe the app data
• uninstall the app
• use a file explorer that can access and modify your root directory (ie. it needs SU permissions) to search for and delete all remnants of the app. (HINT: search for parts of the app name or parts of the installed apk name. If you don't know what the installed form of the apk is named, go find it with a root explorer. If you don't know where your apps are installed on your phone... FIND OUT.)
• boot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache
• reboot
• install cracked version of the app
Doesn't work!
Try different location spoofer. It didn't work for me with the one provided in here.
I tried following one and bingo.

there is also Hola in the playstore which is what i used and seems to work great, last night before RedWings VS Penguins had the update message, forceclosed the app. cleared cache than cleared data, rebooted galaxy tab s, launched Hola set it to Australia and launched NHL from inside Hola, the nhl app asked for log in. so i just hit log in and didn't even type in any credentials and walla watched a great game.
