Pinball HD was also for Tegra2 only, but someone hacked something in it and now there is another version which runs PERFECTLY on my Galaxy S2 with Mali GPU.
So they COULD make it run on other up-to-date gpu devices, but they probably made a contract with Nvidia...
(Mali GPU is a lil more powerful, than Tegra2, but Tegra2 has some unique commands which Mali does not support... HOWEVER if they used the STANDARD OPELGL commands, which both GPUs are 100% compatible with, there would be no problem running these games on any opengl standard compatible phones...)

Gameloft also locks their games for phone IMEIs, so if I change my phone in the future, I would have to buy their games again... O'rly?

So... #@)$* them. And @#%& me if I'm gonna pay for any of this ripoff games...

With some games now being hacked to allow them to play on non Tegra 2 devices, I wonder if this one will be hacked too. I already got a few and they look and run perfectly on my Galaxy S. Finger's crossed.

I nearly thought this would work on my htc desire z since I got the hd pinball to work fine however I get the error that the device I'm using is not supported. hd pinball runs sweet though and that clearly has the "Powered by tegra logo" I will test other tegra games to see if they work aswell, I'm not that sad that this doesn't work as I know that the tegra is not much more powerful then the adreno 205 and the adreno beats the tegra in some area's. Good luck Smegra. Oh Necroz you haven't seen shadow gaurdian have you? I'd say it has better graphics then your samurai game.

Don't get your hope up guys. Pinball HD uses standard android texture (ETC1) which is compatible with other GPUs. This game is using DXT texture compression that is only supports in Tegra, PC and Consoles. DXT is relatively new to mobile phones. You need an android phone with DXT hardware support and Tegra is the only one so far.

Smegra...ummmmm you seem really upset about the Tegra chipset being able to do things that your 2 years old 205 cannot do. You have a link to the benchmarks, because i've got an Atrix and I've got an Incredible S, and the Atrix destroys the Incredible S in every reputable benchmark ive tried.

Almost none of these games use the exclusive Tegra2 Shader Library.
Once the developers will start using the Tegra2 Shaders, those games won't work on any other non Tegra powered phone.
It would be like running a windows app on ubuntu...

Once the developers will start using the Tegra2 Shaders, those games won't work on any other non Tegra powered phone.
