I just fixed this. The problem is not with this app because this app works wonderfully.

This was my situation:
I had installed Angry birds 1.5.1 on my phone (downloaded it off the Android Market), when it was time to update to 1.5.3, I couldn't because the Android Market did not allow me to download(update). So i came here to download this app from this thread.

When I installed, I received a message "Application not installed".

From here I followed an advice from opsss. He posted this link:

which allows you to backup your angry birds scores/saves.

Now follow these steps only if you have "Application Not Installed"
1. Download & backup your angry birds, with the link posted above.(thanks opsss)
2. Uninstall the current Angry Birds that is on your phone.
3. Download & Install the Angry Birds from this thread (.apk file)
4. Open Angry Birds and fully play and complete one level.
5. Close Angry Birds the game and open Angry Birds Backup & click on "Restore"
6. Enjoy your updated game

I just fixed this. The problem is not with this app because this app works wonderfully.

I've never had Angry Birds on my device before but I'm still getting the same error. And this has happened with me trying to install quite a few versions of it as well.
