Image

Pocket Edition includes randomly generated worlds, multiplayer over a local Wi-Fi network, and Survival and Creative modes. You can craft and create with your friends anywhere in the world so long as you have hands spare and battery to burn.
Our most recent update added the iconic Creepers. They’re big, green, mean and explody. But it’s just one of many. Since Minecraft — Pocket Edition first appeared, we’re continuing to add loads of new features, including...
- Food! Now you can cook and go hungry
- Swords! Bows! TNT!
- Chests
- Skeletons
- Spiders
- Beds
- Paintings
- Lots more!
But enough sales talk! Download it already! And have fun!

What's New
- Minecarts, rails, and powered rails!
- The view distance has been massively increased. Check the options!
- New textures, colours and block functionality taken directly from the PC version
- New blocks: carpets, more wood types, hay bales, iron bars, and more
- New crops and food types: beetroot, carrots, potatoes and pumpkins.
- Lots more blocks and items to use in Creative Mode.

woohoo, thanks infinity, I've been dying to try this version ever since it was announced.

I hope it works on an old Galaxy Tab 1, so me and my daughter could play together.

App installed fine on Moto G. However, strange issue as many people appeared. Game hangs on "Building terrain..". Never loads...

To fix hang when "Building terrain..". Never loads...

Just set drag the 'View Distance...' slider to the farthest right - if furthest.

Well, it doesn't run on gingerbread, suppose it's for Android 3.0+ :(

if your device is still running gingerbread then most likely it doesnt have enough power to run this properly anyway (minecraft being poorly optimized and all)
I tried it on a tegra 2 and it was on the laggy side

@joe88

Minecraft v0.8.1 runs flawlessly on a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Gingerbread.

Yeah. Worked out that later but got so busy playing that forget to post back.

All settings maxed out. Working flawless. I will say, even better than my PC version.
