Chronos fills a gap in Windows Mobile operating system by offering
Unlimited number of highly customizable alarms:
Alarms can be set to signal only on certain days of the week;
alarms can be one-time or repetitive;
alarm can notify you by playing sounds, turning on/off vibration, blinking the LED;
WAV, OGG, WMA and MP3 alarm files are completely supported as sound notification;
you can select custom sound stored in memory or on the storage card;
the sound can be played with ascending volume and in loops (i.e. as many times as you need);
vibration (requires hardware availability of the feature) can be set to work before or with the sound. Pulsation is customizable too.
Unlimited number of countdown timers. These timers are used to notify you when certain amount of time elapses. You can completely customize sound and vibro notifications for the timer (in the same way as for alarm). Settings of each countdown timer can be saved as a template for future use. You can build a sequence of timers.
2 multi-stage timers that let you count time of some action and compare results of two attempts. You can use timer to fix intermediate results (for example when you run 5 laps, you can track time of each lap).
Skinnable clock with screensaver and hourly sound lets you have better control over your time.

U may use "SPB Time" skins, but U must rezise images in order to work properly (otherwise it will crash badly...).

This app is great, but can´t wake-up my PDA when alarm occurs. Is there something I have overlooked in settings? Otherwise its quite useless..

Hi there!

First of all I've been using this site for a while now and I just registered to it! It's not one of the best sites there is. IT IS THE BEST SITE THERE IS out there... 8)

ok now for the problem i also had.
I had the same thing! I found out that SPB Mobile Shell was the cause of it. My screensaver "now" was the problem! It locked everything else so the alarms never came up for me... I don't know what you have installed but I think that was the problem for me. Another thing what I changed was installing it on my device...

Now it works just fine for me! and indeed (I think) it's the best alarm there is! :lol:

Release Tester's Review

Tested/Working on: PPC 2003+SE, WM5
Not working on: PPC 2002 *
Not tested on: WM6
Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 8/10 - Performance vs similar products: 7/10 -- Average: 7/10
Comment: Limitation of default alarm clock of PocketPC devices is the main reason of using a third-party alarm clock tool but finding a powerful and reliable one is quite hard since any minor problem in an alarm clock program makes it a useless tool.
Chronos is another multi-purpose alarm clock with some unique abilities, skinnable graphical analogue clock and user-friendly interface. Unlimited alarms, stopwatch and countdown timers work perfectly and a lot of customization settings are provided as well.
One of the most interesting features of Chronos is its ability to perform an action when the alarm or timer is triggered. Executing a program, turning the device off, doing soft-reset and toggling bluetooth are the actions you can assign to each alarm. Playing sound, vibration and blinking LED can be used as alarm notification. The alarm sound can be repetitive, ascending volume is supported and an internal volume setting is provided that overrides the system volume. It means that the alarm sound will be played even if the device is set to mute. All popular audio formats are supported and an internal explorer is provided to choose the desired audio file as the alarm sound.
Unlimited timers can be set to run simultaneously. Stopwatch can save unlimited lap times and the result can be saved as a CSV file. Also quarterly, every half an hour and hourly chimes with customizable sound settings is provided.
Chronos supports English, German, Russian, Italian, Danish, Spanish, Dutch, Ukranian, Czech, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish and Polish languages. It can be set as the screen saver. Four different skins are available as well as some useful settings such as assigning hardware buttons to certain actions while the application is running.
Though Chronos is one of the best alarm clocks, some weaknesses prevents it from getting higher rating scores. Sometimes alarms won't be executed again after soft-reset and the user should run the program to reset the notification database. Also vibration doesn't work on some devices.
It requires up to 2MB of storage memory and runs smoothly from the storage card.

Comment: Yes, another rare perfect 10. Unlike many programs, Chronos is very easy to navigate through especially for those beginners. Has many neat and nifty functions such as a timer, alarm, full watch, and a stopwatch. Lets you choose one out of four very nice skins and it also has a function so that your screen saver will be the watch. Lets you choose any mp3 toner you want unlike the built in one from Microsoft which only gives you very weak tones. Also gives you an option to enable or disable chime, whether you like it or not. The thing that was very useful to me and a big reason i gave it a high rating is that it is extremely easy to navigate with one hand. When an alarm is ringing, the "dismiss" and "snooze" options are very big which is very useful because you can't miss them unlike enpocketalarm. Installation was also as easy as 123. Just replace the crack and register with anything you'd like, easy as that! Also gives you over 10 languages to choose from; from English to Dansk. Honestly, i couldn't find one flaw in this program and in my opinion, is probably the best alarm/timer/stopwatch porgram out there!
