End net enAlarmPPC v3.3.2
Requirements: WM2003SE/WM5/wm6
Overview: Alarm with support MP3 and WAV ringtones

Image

Features: The built-in alarm clock of Windows Mobile lacks in functionality and usability. With this program you can set multiple alarms with their own playlist of MP3 and WAV files. Particularly the snooze function of the built-in alarm is extremly poor. With enAlarmPPC the snooze delay can be set individually. With a simple tap on the screen, the snooze function is activated and the playlist continues after the set time.
It was designed so that the sound files are faded in when played, so the user will not be shocked when a loud starting sound is played. Last but not least a title and a message can be entered for any alarm which is largely displayed on the screen when the alarm starts.
Available Languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Turkish
3.3.2 changes:The restrictions for evaluation are loosened. The program is now installed into the folder "enAlarmPPC" and not "enAlarmPPC x.x.x". Makes installing updates easier.
bug fix: After a soft-reset it could happen that an alarm is started twice at the same time. On first launch of the options, always the language "english" was selected, not the system language.

Hi!

First, I want to excuse for my double post, but it it seems that no one is reading the other thread anymore...

Now my post:

I'm the developer of enAlarmPPC.
At least all you not-paying-users of my program are good for something: You found a bug.
In this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=19534
someone mentioned that with some active alarms, an alarm fired would display the wrong message and play the wrong sound. But I can't reconstruct that problem. Everytime I tried it, the correct alarm was played. Could you perhaps give me a step-by-step instruction how to get the wrong alarm played? Than I can fix that.

BTW: I made cracking easer for you :o, in Version 3.3.2 I loosened the restrictions of the evaluation version, because some honest users found it too hard to test and as you all showed me that it is not worth trying to make the software hard to crack. ;-) So now it is only not possible to add an alarm that is scheduled in more than 5 minutes from now.
If you like to thank me for that: Go and buy it! ;-)
Remember it is only 6 Euros that can help me to make the program even better.

Greetings
Maik Wiege

PS: Of course I would always appreciate it if you drop me a message in case you find another bug or are missing a feature. Just use the contact form on my Homepage: http://www.maik-wiege.de THANKS

Note only did you come here and not swear/yell/get mad/call names, but you sound like an awesome guy. I will no longer host enAlarmPPC files on my server and I will try to make an effort in the future to remember that I am not hosting them :). Thanks again.

That is really strange, why can't I get it to do this. On both my devices, always the correct sound will be played.
Could you perhaps write a step-by-step example with all details set in the alarms which will bring up this "error"? That would really help me (us) out. Thanks!!!
elrosti wrote:I have other problem too and is that when I change de date of my PDA, the alarm is fired a lot of times.

Yes, I know of this, problem. But I don't think that there is something I can do about it, because this is mainly a problem of Windows Mobile, but I will remember this - perhaps I will find a solution for this too.

Of course I don't really know what the cracked version does and if that version causes some problems, but I never heard that the program woulf switch thw phone from vibration to vibration+sound.
If you now get the notification error the version couldn't get uninstalled correctly. See the FAQ:
http://www.maik-wiege.de/en/FAQ/enalarmppc/error-message.html

Perhaps a faulty previous uninstall of the cracked version caused the error.

But with the little tool mentioned in the FAQ above you should get rid of any remaining errors.

We're not all that bad if you actually get to know us "warez" users (as evident by Sakiwinkie's message). Many of us actively support developers and purchase software even though they perfectly know that they can get it for free. Supporting the efforts of developers financially is crucial in ensuring the continuation and quality of their work.

Hi,
yes lifehacker I know, that some people use the warez just to evaluate the program and may buy it afterwards, but how many of that kind exists we can only assume and if I compare my sell numbers with the hits of the warez downloads, you can imagine, that I have to think that there can't be that much of them.
But do not let us discuss that too much, because we wouldn't get to a real point because everyone can just assume...

Nevertheless now I have real buying reason for you all.
Seen above, some people had problems with the program:
- wrong message displayed / wrong sound played...
- some alarms do not start even activated or start even beeing deactivated

As also seen above, I tried fixing that problems, but couldn't reproduce the errors.
I now finally could: Using the cracked version!!!!
The problems only occur in the cracked version. Doing axactly the same with the original version resulted in no errors at all.
I could have come to that idea earlier because I never got that kind of bug reports from my registered users.
I don't know what you crackers exactly did, but you all are welcome to try the original trial version and you will see that the problems are gone.

To get back to the beginning of this post: Even users that are just using warez to evaluate the software may not buy the program because the cracked version has errors in it and they assume that the error is in the original program too.
That of course is realy painfull for the developer, because of warez they could even loose honest users. :(
I know that on the other hand, warez helps spreading the program and that way may result in higher sales. That is why I do not blame anyone of you (at least not too much  ) and even try to help.

Release Tester's Review

Tested/Working on: WM6
Not working on :N/A
Not tested on : PPC 2003SE, 2002
Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 8/10 - Performance vs similar products: 9/10 -- Average: 8/10
Comment: I've yet to find a bug with this program (mentioned above) works almost flawlessly. Gives you so much more options than the alarm that comes with your pocket pc. It allows you to play mp3 tunes, deactivate the alarm temporarily if you not going to use it and so much more! However, as a personal opinion, i very much dislike two things about it: 1. the alarm keeps on playing forever unless you stop it which puts you in danger of letting it drain your pocket pc's battery in case you not by it so it keeps on ringing forever. 2. it's not very user friendly, it freezes up a lot at times and when you try to put "end alarm" it taps somewhere else, so you really have to emphasize on the tap or use your stylus because i know a lot of people use their hands, however, that wont work here. Overall, it's a nice program if you can keep your cool with it at times

Edit: tested version is V3.3.0 -Kareem (thank you xxxbig)
