for me, what really makes this app special is all of the information it provides on the moon, even pocket stars is not that detailed. It is truly amzing how they managed to incorparate this and yet other progs that specialize in moon/stars didnt.
cool app. thanx, i give it 8/10

Release Tester's Review

Tested/Working on: PPC 2003, WM5
Not tested on: PPC 2002, 2003SE, WM6
Rating: Originality: 6/10 - Quality: 8/10 - Performance vs similar products: 8/10 -- Average: 7/10
Comment: Quantity and variety of these alarm clocks for all platforms such as desktop PCs, smart phones and PocketPCs shows the importance and usability of alarm clocks and reminders. Now choosing the best and most reliable one means having better time management.
PocketClock as one of the most versatile clocks among other similar tools for PocketPC has too many features relevant to its main concept. Digital and analog clock, calendar, 20 programmable alarms, up to 4 simultaneous timers, stopwatch, event management, graphical world time map and moon phases, sunrise and sunset times of any specific date, 20 simultaneous city times are just some of its features.
It has almost all major cities but you can also add custom cities to the list. You can assign a custom wave sound and a description to each alarm. Daily schedule and repetitive alarms are supported and they will be resumed even after soft-reset. Stopwatch supports unlimited lap counts and Events manager shows remaining time and date to each event. Time calculator can calculate and show the time and date of 12 different city according to the specific time.
Its user interface is well designed and just adds a notification handler to the notification queue that means it requires a small amount of memory and doesn't change the performance of your device.
Though it's a full featured alarm clock, some disadvantages will be identified during a short period of use. It just supports wave format and MP3 files can not be assigned to alarm sounds, also alarms are based on simple daily schedules and weekly, monthly, every weekend, etc. are not supported. In the events manager, there is no option to choose when the reminder should remind you of important events. Hence, some of its features are innovated but in some aspects, PocketClock fails to its competitors.
Also look at: on this site:
- pTravelAlarm v2.7.3
- CityTime Alarms v2.0
- End net enAlarmPPC v3.3.2
- AlarmToday v2.70
