i have version 2.04

I got a new phone and am trying to transfer save games. I have the dat save game files (Chrono_sp_3_0.dat, Chrono_sp_4_0.dat, etc) from the "data\data\com.square_enix.android_googleplay.chrono\files" folder from the old phone, accessed with root.

When I paste that folder in the new phone with the game installed, the game recognizes the save files and loads the games but it does not overwrite the saves upon exit of the game (when reloading the game, the save state is still in the original time and location as the old phone files)

However, when I start a new game, on and save the game over the save game slot with the previous information, the system can overwrite and the save game exists upon reloading.

I don't understand... you had root on your old device, but you didn't use a backup solution like Titanium Backup? Try that, there should be working mods of it here on this forum.

Or, conversely, if you no longer have the old device, you could analyze the permissions of the newly created save data, and apply the same permissions to the backed up files, after placing it in the save folder. That's the only reason I can think of why it wouldn't overwrite/update the backup.

Is there a version without the money mod?
