Role playing and quest games

I notice that even though the com.square_enix.android_googleplay.ffl_gp folder is extracted into the android/obb folder, I see it being gone after I go in the game and it tells me connection lost with the white background saying "download ...". Meaning that I go in root explorer and straight to android/obb and I see that the folder is still present but the file that is 200mb is no longer there. I notice another folder in Android/data of com.square_enix.android_googleplay.ffl_gp, and inside there's another folder called "files" that is empty.

The playstore I installed using the link posted by Zurt (I appreciate the effort!) did not patch the playstore. So, I decided to try a new playstore patch, this one: Google Play Store v3.10.10+Installer v1.0.5 by ChelpuS found on Mobilism.

First install of that installer did not work so I then read that I had to uninstall google playstore from titanium backup, go to system/app to ensure removal of vending.apk or com.vending (not sure of the name) or phonesky.apk and then reinstall it using the installer given by Chelpus. After the reboot, the playstore was patched and I resumed with the new method guide posted here and FF dimensions has opened and asks me to download data. It is no longer telling me that the connection is lost, however, it is force closing after 3-5 minutes of downloading resources :S... another problem to solve now :/..

Maybe that is happening because I am attempting to download using data plan and not Wifi.

Worked here following the method posted by Zurt and Symos's Instructions (Xperia Player).

The first run was necessary to be connected to the internet (tried with Wifi), but I closed the app and tried it without the connection and it worked well.

I have a Morotola Defy with ICS custom ROM (4.0.4).

I wish mine was like that :S.. I'm beginning to think it works better on ICS + and not on gingerbread.

When it starts to "download..." I pressed home button and noticed in the notification that FF dimensions is trying to locate a download server and looking for resources, but it keeps switching between both messages until it tells me that it did not find the server. I'll go to a location with Wifi today and try it out.

Followed the instructions to the letter and I still can't get it to work. It gets to the "download data?" screen, stays white for a few minutes, then says "Connection lost! Try again?" and stays white for another minute or two, then kicks to the homescreen, telling me "Final Fantasy Dimensions has stopped." It also seems to be deleting the obb file every time I launch the game. What gives?

Much easier and faster installation without Titanium Backup:

1. Install patched Google Play Store v3.10.10 by ChelpuS & SaNXeVC - this one is the latest version
2. Install FINAL FANTASY DIMENSIONS v1.0.0 APK
3. Copy main.100.com.square_enix.android_googleplay.ffl_gp.obb from SD files to /sdcard/Android/obb/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.ffl_gp
4. Copy dl.bin from TB data to /sdcard/Android/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.ffl_gp/files. If you look in the .rar you will find it!
5. Play!

NO WiFi required! NO Titanium Backup required!

At first I couldn't find the dl.bin file, but then I downloaded the TB files from this thread and looked again.
Your instructions worked! All I needed was the dl.bin file. Apparently the TB files I downloaded elsewhere (MM, cough) were missing it.

Is this the full game, by the way, or just the prologue and first chapter or two? The iOS version was split into episodes, is this one too?

Finally! I confirm that the above worked for me. I didn't have to restart the whole process since I already did most of the steps. I just had to do step 4, putting the dl.bin where it belongs. Thank you!

Have you ever cracked anything? No? Then quit complaining. These guys work hard to bring you the apps and games that you play for FREE, and we're lucky they even work at all.
