Is there a version that is patched to work on the latest version of android? This on appears to force close every time on Android 7.1.
No, it has not been updated since the KitKat or Lollipop days.
I'd suggest playing the Vita version if you can. It's a Japanese import, but the games come in a single compilation. There's a translation for them, I believe, or they're already in English. I forget. I have it, though, and I've played through Omega and CR3 on it with no issues.
