Overview: FINAL FANTASY VI first debuted in 1994 as the sixth installment in the iconic FINAL FANTASY series.


Innovations included the ability to play all the main characters as the game's protagonist, and to this day, its epic story intertwining each of their fates is still highly rated and wildly popular. Story

A word of caution out there for folks:

- This does not work with ART, so change setting to dalvik and reboot if that is the case.
- This does not work with Exposed even _installed_ so uninstall Exposed if you use it.
- This requires the modded game store. I do not use modded store either so I will also have to wait for a straight crack as well.

Hopefully this will save some questions. If any of the above apply to you, take note.

I wish there was an easy way to enable and disable Xposed without uninstalling. Maybe I'll look for an app to take care of it. What sort of errors do you get with ART? I've been playing Final Fantasy III with ART enabled and occasionally it force closes, maybe this is the issue. Luckily, I can continue which never really messes me up too much. If that's the case with IV, I'll probably just keep the faster compiler enabled. Thanks for the upload!

Weird my post got deleted. Maybe it was because I linked a screenshot of the game.

I was saying that there must be something wrong with valnutima's results , because I have grabbed the files from the tusfiles.com links , and this is definitely the com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFVI version.

@naghtan Last time I installed modded play store was with Lucky patcher, root access and busy box installed. You can easily install it from within Lucky Patcher.

A. The ui looks identical to the SNES version.
B. The game uses the old SNES sprites for character models and not the new sprites for Android/iOS.
C. There are weird ads when running/quitting the game.
D. The program service name or w.e. is "com.bestqqk.goodgames.snes_finalfantasy6" when it should be "com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFVI"
E. The game runs with Xposed Framework installed/enabled and without a modded GP store.

This all leads me to believe that the game is a packaged emulator+rom of the SNES version and not the actual Android game as released by SquareEnix.

Do not confuse people, this is a release by Symos.

This is not a rom. I have played my fair share of roms of this title, and this is not one of them. The UI looks much better, graphics as a whole look way better. Easy install as well. All I did is copy obb folder over, then copy apk file over. Ran apk and good to go. Enjoy this remake of a timeless classic. Runs great on my transformer tf300t!

Can someone post a link or explain what is needed to play this game? I've never used Lucky Patcher or a modded GP before. Thanks.

They have totally ruined one of my favorite games with this "updated" version... Thanks a lot square... :/

@Schadenfreude google how to install mod google store and you'll find youtube links with how to's , but overall its very simple , install busybox from the play store, then grab lucky patcher here on mobilism. Then inside lucky patcher there is an option to install the modded store. This all requires root access of course.

I don't see why many people feel so harsh about this port. I find the backgrounds pretty nice, most of the sprites are weird indeed, but some are nice I find, like Kefka. The sounds and score is also pretty nice quality. The enemies and the spells are nicely drawn. The game is still enjoyable, if you were a fan. Nobody has "ruined" anything. You still have your fond memories of playing this game back when gaming was simple and enjoyable, and are in no way forced to play this version. I'm only 4h into the game, over 2 days and I've already forgotten about the sprites. Having played the gba version on my s4 just a few weeks back, i can say these graphics are welcomed.

So , yeah, the sprites suck, but the rest of the game is fine so far.

No idea, I downloaded the files from a link here, upon downloading it again from a different site, it seems to be working just fine. Sorry

Players beware, a bug that seems to affect every device is preventing you to go any further than Leo's fight vs Kefka. Soon after Kefka's dialogue hangs on "It was an illusi" . Many reports in the game reviews on the play store. I am stuck there myself.
