Overview: FINAL FANTASY VI first debuted in 1994 as the sixth installment in the iconic FINAL FANTASY series.


Innovations included the ability to play all the main characters as the game's protagonist, and to this day, its epic story intertwining each of their fates is still highly rated and wildly popular. The characters' dramatic performances are also highly rated, including the catastrophe occurring midway through, which delivers a particular emotional jolt to players.
With plenty of abilities available and the magicite system for controlling spells/summoning, players can develop their characters any way they want. This was also the first FINAL FANTASY game to include the Ultima Weapon, the most powerful sword of all and a recurring item in subsequent titles within the series.

Story
The War of Magi left little but ashes and misery in its wake. Even magic itself had vanished from the world. Now, a thousand years later, humankind has remade the world through the power of iron, gunpowder, steam engines, and other machines and technologies.
But there is one who possesses the lost power of magic--a young girl name Terra whom the evil Empire has kept enslaved in an effort to harness her power as weapon. This leads to a fateful meeting between Terra and a young man named Locke. Their harrowing escape from the Empire's clutches sets in motion a series of events that touches countless lives and leads to one inevitable conclusion.

What's new in this version : (Updated : Feb 5, 2014)
The following bugs have been addressed:
Speaking to Shadow at the pub in Kohlingen with your device's language set to German no longer causes the game to crash.
Exploring the cave in the Serpent Trench no longer causes the game to crash.
The entrance to the balcony in the Opera House has been made easier to locate.
Various other minor bugs.

Would be great if we can have non-play store requiring version that is signed the same as 1.0.1 so saves can be retained.

These games are not easily hacked and with each version they get harder to crack. We're lucky the Google Play mod even works. I don't understand why people are always whining about it. It works.

Google Play mod works flawlessly. You may want to put a note in your post that this requires root, however.

While root is required for the GPS mod, yes, you'd be surprised how many people do not know this.

There is an update for this to 1.0.3 which fixes bugs.

Android is really getting up there with the Final Fantasy games. Is there any chance we will get a FFVII port or is it too big a game for mobile/tablets? Happy day if we ever do, haven't played that game since the PS1

I kinda read somewhere that FF7 is possible to port to Android
but the reason that they haven't port it yet because of
some iOS limitation.

I'm not sure whether it's true or not.

If no 1.0.3 can we at least get a reupload of this?
