If you have rooted your phone use Droidwall to block it.

When I try to install it can't, but no fault. I have a galaxy S with 2.3.6

I had the same problem as you when i let the game connect to the servers.
What fixed it for me:

Rename the Fifa12 SD folder
Uninstall game and reinstall but don't start
Rename the Fifa12 SD folder back to it's original name
Start game without internet access.

Lol I just downloaded the whole data again through the game. I couldnt find a fix. Anyway it does work and Ill advice everyone to download data through app if they can.
Its not that bad though, I could live with that, The game is almost perfect.

lol that's one problem I can't fix.
v1.3.86 gives me a server error when trying to download SD data. v1.2.5 download worked OK.
No idea how to fix that.
Using SD data from v1.2.5 on v1.3.86 now, not sure if that data is the same for both versions.......
