No cheat at all help

Heroes are not unlocked. I can't use any just the default hero. Please check.

Installed the .apk using an apk file manager while offline, installed 81+mb and upon first launch I saw the 999,999,999 gold and gems. Somehow attained Roxie after around the 6th or 7th main mission, stayed offline (wi-fi and data off), wanted to do mission 11 in the next area and said Active Internet connection required to download or something close to that lol, I turned WiFi on clicked mission 11 again, it started downloading content, made it to mission 21 in the 3rd area, no matter what I do I cannot get it to update, it flashes the icon that content downloading in upper right corner but disappears immediately and I'm unable to continue the story line, nor can Google play update the game so I'm stuck!!! Please help!
