What not to do:

Do not click on View Prizes buttons.
Do not try to place mayan calendar pieces.
Do not send Homer to promote the bar.
Do not send Ned to take the boys Snowmobiling.
Do not tap on any of the Gils.
Sending people trick or treating might cause a crash just speed them up with donuts.
If you do any of these the game will just force close.

This mod is whack-whack!

It seems to unlock all the previous limited time items, so, for example, you can buy the ray gun and get Kang! Gil is walking around!

You first have to get a heart (buy a mystery love box from premiums) or a candy to buy those items, but then unlimited. But every rent also pays in donuts (at least for a number of cycles), so you get a lot of Homer saying "Mmmm, Premium Currency!"

Buildings are all winter decorated, and the snakes are still around. The Yard Sale has NOT started yet in this mod.

There are lots and lots of text screens to get through. And the game stops when you are prompted to do an action that isn't available, like Flanders snowmobiling.

Lots of stops and restarts. The game isn't really playable, but you can collect a lot of stuff.

This is a not a standard mod, and may be heaven or heck, depending on how you see it.

Yep I'm finding the same thing, which in all honesty is good for me as I missed out on the earlier stuff, but I don't see any of the new stuff like the 24 season items.

only bad thing is wen u log into a normal version of the simpsons when you collect the houses or whatever it gives you donuts instead of cash... anyway tp change it?
as I wanted to get previous items but dont want donuts coming from the buildings when I use a normal version of the simpsons

I've only experienced this for the first time you click on an building (sleezy for example), after that it reverts back to handing out cash.

I've also somehow managed to get this version and the formal play version installed running side by side.

Is there any version out there now that is just the game updated ?? Without it running Christmas Halloween Valentines and whacking day all at the same time??

I was hoping it would just update to what the market app has now.

There are na and row versions of the app, but the data is the same and the saves are server-sided on EA's servers. Before the mods would flip back and forth between the two region versions but it didn't matter because I had the same town saved either way. So I suppose running parallel would not be out of the question.

I assume that the stuff from the link abovehas been implemented into this release, as reading the comments it seems the most viable explanation to accessing what has been listed.

(I am unsure if posting the above link will be breaking the rules as I couldn't access the forum post with them in, it comes up with a coding error)

lucky I used a spare account on the simpsons as it gives out donuts from houses etc
I don't want that or I would have used this modded version for my main simpsons account to get previous task stuff. damn

Weird mod, all the events are unlocked (Xmas, Halloween) it's totally insane, except the one from the 24th season, Springfield is going to be packed! Running well on my SGS2 JB.

I think it is safe to assume everything is broken with this mod. I would not suggest following any quests because stuff could be missing. Nice thing though is earned donuts transfer over to the free game. I think I am just going to collect a few things like the graveyards and move over to the free game until the next update/mod sorts this mess out.

Yeah its really messy, the thing is that the donuts ridiculous giveaways are transferred to the other device. I even uninstall and dl the version from google play and the donuts mod continues... i'm going to try it out on my other device see if it persists. Only mod version available, right?

I loved this mod. I got everything including Devil Flanders and the Talking Krusty Doll, which are the most difficult in it. I also ended up with over 26,000 donuts, which lets me go back to the version from the store. It was a real pain restarting, but doable

The donut rent comes depending on what version you started the clock on any building with. If you collected and started the clock in the Mod, you get donuts even in the Play. But start in the Play, and you get cash. I have lots of cash, so donuts were fine with me. If you have unlimited donuts, buy lots of items that multiply payout; the snake speakers were the best value for bug multiplier and small size.

If you follow shak3yjak3y's link you can find the source for this, outlining what what will force stop the game. The Mayan Calendar is odd, because the quest wants you to get 5 pieces and put them together, but you can buy the completed calendar. In any case, the end of that quest is getting the Mayan God, and you can get it without having to complete.

The author of the mod is working on a new version that doesn't use questlines but just unlocks everything to buy, but as of this writing, it's still a two install kludge. Follow shak3yjak3y's link and then to the new page to see if he has the final mod done yet.
