This works perfectly on both my Note 4 N910C running stock Marshmallow 6.0.1 and my Note 8.0 WiFi Edition running stock Kitkat 4.4.2

OK so I downloaded the same game again and it wanted to download additional files and it did. This time there wasn't any error like "you didn't buy this application". It works only online. When I turn off my internet it doesn't want to work. I'm even more confused than before. I'm almost sure it's completely my fault but don't know how and why. I'll wait for any update (if available) and check it out.

That's funny as I have the same device as you, which I'm using a my daily driver and Lumines runs like a dream on it.

I bought it on release, and it works offline or online, Note 4, running Android 6.0.1 stock.
When offline, it says you need to be online for Google Play Services(aka, for achievement logging, etc),but still works, and when online, it checks the file structure for updates(the Japanese version adds a "link" so you can buy the new DLC that comes out on Thursday for it(japan only)..and you can see the version number in the bottom left of the title screen.
Same goes for this version except minus the DLC link, only the 2 "albums", with 14 tracks are available in this version just now.

Both! I have no problems running Lumines with my N910C offline or online! Are you running custom firmware on your N910C? If you are reinstall the stock Samsung firmware back onto your device and you should be good.

I have the stock samsung firmware but it's 5.1.1. Maybe if I update to 6.0.x whatever available for my country, no idea. But at the moment I'm keeping it as it is, I can't take my mobile to the samsung's shop to ask them to update it 'cause they can do it only if I leave my mobile for several hours - which I can't do, it's job-related. Kies crashes my computer and I have only about 0.5GB/month which probably isn't enough to update my mobile OTA. And it sucks.
Maybe OTA in mcdonald's??? Not safe but what else is to do?
The game can't work offilne for me. I had to remove it completely.

The only thing I can recommend at this point is to take your device to a friend's house and use their WiFi connection to download the latest firmware update for your device.

Well, I can give up and wait for future updates of this game. But frankly there was this 1 game that didn't work for me. It worked for every user but not for me - including some users with the same mobile and android. It was SimCity. I changed my mobile and the game no longer hates me! So...
It's probably me in general.
