I hear ya, but it was probably for good reason; whether for code updates, or even something as trivial as data transmission.

Can you confirm through the application manager, or by other means, that you do in fact have v7.1.4 installed? I ask because there haven't been any updates to this app in the Play Store since the 7th of this month, and I'm not seeing the update message you're referring to.

I can not install now, tells me that i have package with that name and different signature installed. how can i uninstall the other, i try buts say must be rooted, is there a way to uninstall without being rooted.

i found this but do not no where the googleandroid menu is

How to remove Zynga games on your Android device:

1. Open Google Android Menu.
2. Go to Settings and select Applications.
3. Click Manage.
4. Select the application you want to remove from the list.
5. Click Uninstall.

You have to uninstall the current version of words with friends first and then install this one

Yes, i've been tring but it will not let me, i guess my phone has to be rooted to do this, it maing me mad. I even wentinto my menu app setting and tried the goole play, my apps, all it does is uninstall the updates and leaves the game still there. I even asked on xda site.

This is the free version that came with my phone Samsung galaxy s2 att
I tried to uninstall but it only uninstalls the updates and goes back to v1.0 free version. I tried all different apps to get rid of this version but no good.
The version I got here give me the error shown on bottom screen shot.

That's because it's installed as a system app. You'll need to be rooted to uninstall completely. If you are rooted, you can just delete the apk from /system/app or use titanium backup to uninstall it. Good luck!

I was unaware that Words came pre-installed on any devices. That's news to me.

But yea, since it's installed as a system app, you'll need to root your device in order to remove it. Otherwise, it'll be impossible to install this modded version due to the conflicting signatures. After rooting your device, be sure to also clear the cache and data before uninstalling. Then you'll be good to go.

Thanks that waht i thought, it really makes me mad that they wont let me delete apps, or games, I paid for the phone I should be able to decide what I want to install or uninstall.
