Since there have been a lot of changes after v1.10, this new thread is opened for easy maintenance. The previous development thread is at here.

The original v1.0 was released on April 1st.
v1.13 (23-5-2007)
1. moved all the settings from SLIDE.INI to the Registry.
2. added options "IdleStart", "ACIdleStart", "ACOffLCD", "ACBlankScreen" & "ShowAppointment" (so many ACs there ); it works like a real screensaver now; see below (iLock config) for details.
3. the option "BlankScreen" is now "media player" aware, i.e. when it's playing mp3, it will only turn off the LCD even "BlankScreen" is 0. The same applies to "ACBlankScreen".
4. rewrote the battery status routine so it now theoretically consumes lesser power (vs polling in the old version).
5. preliminary fix for changing the device's orientation when "CloseApp" is set to 0. SLIDE will exit itself when the orientation is changed. If your device has a slide-keyboard, please let me know the result.
6. supports Smartphone device: use the DPad to move the button; its speed can be adjusted by the option "Speed"
7. some bugs fixing
8. changed the Clock's typeface

Start from v1.1, INSTALLATION is necessary! If you have used any other methods to make SLIDE.EXE runs on wake up event, please UNDO it before using this version. Read "How to use" for details.

Did you guys actually copy "ilock.exe" to the windows/startup folder? A shortcut will not work.

ilock.exe controls the battery status now, not slide.exe.

I would definitely read about this in the forum, (your comments about the battery have been posted a dozen times in there already) because it is a very new program, and clearly not a fully perfect app, yet.

On a side not, my phone has frozen twice randomly with this program running. soft reset both times.

The author, or current developer, wrote on post #9 of the original thread the following,
"As I said, I've rewrote the Battery Status & it's coded in iLock.exe. SLIDE will no longer actively polling the system for the Battery Status. Starting from v1.1, there is a very close workmanship between iLock & SLIDE. If you don't want to run iLock.exe, pls use the old version."

The reason I mentioned the above for you to check for ilock.exe, is because I had the same problem. Also, since the developer actually responds to feedback, it would be great if you posted in that forum for more constructive development, after all the software is free of charge.
If I misunderstood your question, please let me know.

In which forum my friend? I read from readme.txt and he said:

Also said:
iLock.EXE - mainly for the "auto start" of SLIDE
I started iLock.exe directly from that directory before I run slide.exe. Is that the same or not?

I failed to notice that the link to where this software is released isn't even posted with the release!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308361

nikolica. on post #40, he explains that slide.exe no longer handles notifications, its handled in ilock.exe, which runs at startup and MUST be in startup, and waits to be called. Its tiny, so memory should not be a problem.
"2. what is iLock.exe?
Answer: It's responsilbe for the autostart, idlestart & battery status. When it's executed under "\Windows\Startup", it'll stay in the background & wait for the right event to invoke SLIDE. When it's executed else where, it'll invoke SLIDE immediately. In the future, iLock will make use of the System State Notification to retrieve all OS status like no. of unread voice mail, headset existence, GPRS connection etc... but only for WM5 or later & don't know when it'll be released..."

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1277727&postcount=40

The whole reason ilock.exe exists, is because PPL the compiler used for the original slide.exe , runs too slowly for this apps general purpose, and is quite large in memory.

If its still not working, I apologize, it must be something else. But many had the same issue, because previous versions did allow .lnks to ilock.exe

The have updated this software again already 1.131!

That prompt comes up with quite a few programs and its very annoying, after a hard reset, this is on one of the first things I install to disable it. You might want to try it.

Slide 2 UnLock v1.131 (updated on 24/5/2007)

v1.131 (24-5-2007)
1. fixed the "Wallpaper" & "Wallpaper Landscape" paths bug, you can set your custom path now.
2. the Appointment's Start & End Time follows the format of "TimeFormat" option.

P.S. There are 2 .reg files included in this release:
WallpaperFix.reg - pls import this file to your device to fix the "Wallpaper" path bug in v1.13, otherwise the default setting will cause error in SLIDE.
FakePhone.reg - for WM2003/SE user only. You may edit it to whatever setting you want. Then import it every time the device is reset.

Please read the README.TXT for the details & FAQ.
