Group SMS v1.4.3 (Freeware)
Requirements: PPC WM5, WM6
Overview: As most Windows Mobile devices lack the functionallity to send the same SMS to a group of contacts i decided to make this small application. It can be started from the Start menu or by the right menu in the messaging application.

Changelog:
Version 1.4.3 [16.12.2007]
Three bugs fixed
A small memory leak.
The last contact was not looped.
Fixed the window size on VGA devices.

Version 1.4.1 [18.05.2007]
Fixed a small bug. If a contact was member of more then one group, the application sometimes displayed group names with strange characters.

Version 1.4 [16.05.2007]
Rewritten the looping of contacts, it is now more effective and should use less memory. I've also moved the menu extension. It is now located in the form where you write a new SMS. This makes it possible to forward SMS messages to a group.

Version 1.3 [14.02.2007]
Added a default "Show all contacts" group.

Version 1.2 [23.01.2007]
Did a small rewrite of the plugin in the messaging application. It can now be installed to a memorycard..

Version 1.1 [17.01.2007]
Fixed a screen rotation issue. It now works in both landscape and portrait mode

I have used it on my K-Jam and it has one feature which I like the most i.e. it can group contacts on the base of Categories, which you can set in MS-Outlook in batch. Also you can assign multiple categories to 1 contact.

I am only facing a problem with it that which sending messages to a Group, it failed to send messages to some contacts. I'm not still sure why it is causing such thing.

Yes, SKB Group sms is the good one, but it has no support for categories and no option for Return Receipt and you have to create groups for it separately :)

Hi Mendes

If you are using MS outlook for setting categories, please try to check if the categories are setup for your contacts in proper way. You can see your contacts related to a particular category by viewing your contacts using "By Category" in 'Current View' in contacts.

You can also download some old version of Group SMS from here in ppcwarez (plz search).

Thank you.

I organize my categories from MS Outlook.
I understand why it's down.
If I have a contact in most of one categroy it doesn't work but if my contact is only one category it's OK. It is a bug ?
Lot of my contact have few categories. How can I use it ?
Thank you and... sorry for my bad english. I'm french but I try ;)

The limitation might be in your mobile. I am using 1 contact in multiple categories in my IMate K-Jam.

You can also try O2 Sms Plus (don't know if compatible with your mobile). It also have some similar group sms functionality. You can search for it in ppcwarez :)
Good luck

Thank you for your answer ;)
I've update my profile.
I have a HTC Touch Dual (Nike ?). You think my mobile is not compatible with Group SMS :(
I go to test O2 SMS PLUS.
Thank you for this help.
