2D Barcode are also called "DATA MATRIX" (more used name for this coding method).
The World Leader in DATA MATRIX technology is COGNEX !!!
The price for a Cognex DATA MATRIX decoding system per Pc (enclosed of Camera and Windows XP software) is never less than 5000 Euros !!!!

I was looking for this application for more than 1 year.
I will test on all my device, because it is very important for my professional job.

At the end of my test, I wil report to all of you.

did you check http://www.shotcode.com and Microsoft Windows Live Barcode https://barcode.ideas.live.com. They are very similar. If they would just work together to get the best of it and make us only need one application for all.

I will try it, cos this program does not work on my HTC Universal (WM5). and they havent the rigth version for my ppc on their site.

DATA MATRIX is STANDARD. But there are a lot of possible mode for it.

In Automotive Market it has been introduce about 7 years ago, and today ALL componets used to assembly our cars has DATA MATRIX to identify it.

DATA MATRIX is very useful for tracabilyty of components in term of Quality.

Moreover, a lot of spare parts (or ONLY EQUIPMENTS as well) needs DATA MATRIX for their tarature and setting at ECU level (ECU = Engine Control Unit). The DATA MATRIX is read at assy time and sent to the ECU, in this way all parameters correlated to the parts will go directly to the ROM, and never forgot.

For instance, all Injectors we have on our Diesel Common Rail Engine cars have special code for ECU, and this special codes are before evaluated and calculated by testing machines placed at the end of industrial production line.

I know that these are complicated words. You can find a lot of information at COGNEX site, if you want.

Only an other question...do you know a software for ppc that use the photocamera to acquire and traslate a barcode? Or only to create barcodes (for ppc)?

I can not help you and Prema, Ppcqtek, cos this program does not run (for any version I dwnload) on my PPCs (both Universal and Alpine as well).

So, I can said to you what it does.

Maybe Modser can say us a little bit more.

Ok, thanks, but I ask if you (o other) know another program that operates with barcode.
This program is only for data matrix...
