PPCGeeks sMMS v0.6.2.46941

Overview: This application can be used to send MMS (Picture Mail) for Sprint Customers.


Messages will be sent via "Sprint Picture Mail". It should be an easy solution to the MMS issue, for most users. You still have the same limitations as Picture Mail, not Video support and only able to send JPEGs.
Supports sending messages to Phone Numbers or Email addresses. Messages sent to Email addresses will send a link. Which will allow users to view the pictures in their browser. Messages to Phone Numbers should work like anyother MMS for most providers, Sprint has a list of supported providers.
NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A SPRINT VISION PLAN AND A PICTURE MAIL ACCOUNT SETUP. ALSO THIS DOES NOT ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR SPRINT PICTURE MAIL, IT JUST HELPS WITH A EASIER SENDING PROCESS. YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO USE PICTURE MAIL ON YOUR PC.

i tried to get it to work with updated version, but had no luck. then again, i couldnt get new version working at all. with or without crack.

Yeah, I just gave it a tried and the patch does not work... The new version does work with limited functions...

thats really odd. the new version would install just fine for me, but when i tried to open the program, it gave me an error about net compact framework 3.5 not being installed (but i do). did that with and without patch in place. went back to older version which works great. dschoenike

I have the HTC Touch and I'm using the PPCGeeks-BuildOS to build my ROMs... In it, under NETCF, I needed to include both the .NET CF3.5 RTM and netCF35 Exception Message for the new version to work... With the older version, it only needed the first option... Hope that helps...

I've been using this so far for about 2mons and love this program works great and highly reccommended for anyone that likes to send pics or get your picture mail better than the way sprint offers on the mogul or touch

The instructions that come with it are a little unclear.

Correct me if I have this wrong but

1) Replace SprintMMS.dll in the Program Files\sMMS on your phone
2) Run sMMS_Test.exe and enter in your 10 digit phone number (or is it 11 digit with country code)
(when i press Calc the code returns 'false', but still creates a file smms.dll)
3) Copy smms.dll to Program Files\sMMS on the phone

it does not work with newer version. You will actually have to pay the $5 fee.

you can either start it on your desktop or just make a folder place the program on either your desktop or in the folder. then you enter your number into the program it will create a file for you and their is another file in there called sprintsmms place both files in your folder on your phone. then start the smms program on your phone you should be good after that.
