Going back to 4.2 wich works great.

Really? I heard that 4.2 would not properly replace all the components (such as the caller ID) on the Diamond, just like the previous versions.

I will have to try that version out. Thanks.

Hi,

just for info guys. On 4.3 they changed only 3 files. The VGA Caller ID (maybe better sliding function) the Inesoft Profiler.exe and the Inesoft Switcher.exe (in Windows directory). You can extract those files for yourself with MSCEInf v2.5.

Btw, I have also the Diamond, and I'm using only the Caller ID of this. I'm using this without installing the app at all. Just put the needed files in the necessary folders. I'm using it because of bigger picture ID, and for screen protection, not accidently denying calls.

If you use the Standard Skin (without sliding function) then on the Diamond, the original Caller ID pops up for about 0.5 seconds, then the Inesoft Caller ID pops up, after that (after you accepted or denied the call) again the Original CAller ID.
But if you use the VGA Caller ID of Inesoft, with the Slider, then it takes a minimum of 1 second till the Inesoft Caller ID pops up, after the Original Caller ID.

I think, that you cant disable that the original Caller ID pops up (in the backround). I think you have to disable the whole phone skin, with "Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3", and use the whole suite with the Dialer and History, because you wont have the original history listing anmore.

Hmm... ok, so I just tried the 4.2 because it was recommended, as working, on the Diamond (see above). But still having the caller ID problem.

So you are saying if I use Advance Config to use the standard WM dialer, this problem will not occur?

Also, every time I reboot I get a message saying my phone is off and do I want to turn it on? Anyone else getting this?

*edit* OK, so using the default WM dialer seems to fix the caller ID problem, as well as the problem with the phone being off when soft resetting. Thanks a bunch for that tip, I appreciate it.

Only other problem I seem to be having is that I don't have an answer button on my Inesoft caller ID when a call is coming in. Anyone else having this problem or know a solution? Will the 4.3 version fix this?

*edit* OK, switching to standard VGA skin from default skin fixes the problem with no caller ID buttons but there is no Inesoft in-call screen. Maybe 4.3?

I think this app is almost usable now. :)

Slowly making progress.

Hi,

the problem you have is not really a problem, but one of the best "features" of this Caller ID Skin. Never accindently denying calls anymore. Whats wrong using the hardware keys for accepting the calls or denying them. But it seems that your are still using the standard skin, without the sliding funtions. Go to Adress Book==>General Options==>Caller ID Skin, and change it to the Standard VGA Skin. Then you have all you need. You need to slide to unlock the screen, and then you can access all the buttons you want.

Yeah, it works great with the standard VGA skin. Thanks a bunch.

I am still getting the default WM screen while "in-call" though. Does Inesoft not have a replacement for that screen?

There is any possibility to disable the profiler from this software, because I'm using PhoneAlarm and I believe that it should cause some conflict between this two applications.

tks.
