Auto Call Recorder v1.1 (Freeware)
Requirements: PPC WM5, WM6
Overview: This Application does what the title says; it records your phone calls automatically. It automatically detects when you are on an incoming or outgoing call and then records the conversation to the folder you specify. It saves the call as a file in the format of [Direction] [FileAs] [Phone Number] [Call Length].

Warning! This application is not legal in all countries/states. Check first before you use this software as you could get into serious trouble in some areas.

The OP was indicating that the legality of recording your phone conversations, automated or not, may be in question in the country/state you reside. Most companies in the United States indicate as part of their automated system 'This call may be recorded for quality control purposes', etc. In the state of Georgia, it is legal to record the conversation as long as one of the parties is aware the recording is going on (I.e. if it's my phone, and I've got the software installed, I'm still within my legal rights). However, if both parties are unaware (I.e. it's my girlfriends phone, I've got the software installed, she's not aware of it, I've just broken the law).

Hope that clarifies for you.

Thought this would be usefull...

Taken from : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpos ... ostcount=6

To enable 2 way recording just change:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"VocRecPath"=dword:00000002and you'll be able to record with any software.

If you want to use WM6 native recording (WAW only, on \my documents\notes, manual activation: during a call hit "record" on call menu) create:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\AudioRecording]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Voice]
"EnableCallRecordMenuItem"=dword:00000001
"AllowInCallRecording"=dword:00000001

Don't forget to turn off (and on again ) the device after you modify/create the keys.
