Changelog v2.23 beta (Build 376)
A number of improvements have been added to the paHost - including Settings now has options to run on soft-reset and to open skin if a new alert occurs
Several other small improvements have also been added - but still need more logs from anyone who has issue with device locking up
That is probably related to i910 test code that will be removed before release for all devices except i910, but would like to double check (and of course i910 users might like it fixed if that is really the issue )
To activate logging, click on the phoneAlarm icon on the About screen and select DETAIL.
Then after problem has occurred, send the phoneAlarm.log file (in \Program Files\phoneAlarm directory) to "support AT pocketmax.net"

Icon refresh is fixed as are a number of other issues
Installer is also improved so that phoneAlarm is not reloaded in Today screen if you were previously using paHost - I don't automatically restart host after install though...

"Power User" settings also include 2 new options "hostAutomaticallySelectSkin" and "noAlarmOnDroppedCall"
Please read the description for the 2nd option - it is what many users have been asking for - and if all works as expected then it will be enabled by default in release version

As to battery drain - that isn't directly caused by paHost, but there does seem to be some issue with device sleeping in some cases.

I ran latest paHost last night on device with nothing else running and battery didn't drop more than

But 2 days ago when I had MortPlayer still loaded in background, but not playing, the device lost 50% overnight - so there is some issue with device not going back to idle mode so easily if host is running

v2.23 beta (Build 380)

here is the next beta with a number of fixes and improvements.

Profile "Timed Switch" will now work correctly again, icons have been improved and several reported issues with skins have been fixed.
paHost still needs some work on the transparency - should have that done tomorrow 

I would like to hear from any users with Touch Pro 2 whether bluetooth is working or not on your device, and also still waiting for a log-file regarding named ActiveSync connection reported earlier today.
In addition custom weather server support needs to be tested before the final v2.23 can be released later this week

v2.23 beta (Build 381):
paHost is now skinnable (though skinning icon at top of screen will only be available tonight
In addition bluetooth should now work on all Touch Pro2 and iPAQ devices - see notes below if you have a problem

- Gestures are now supported on paHost icon - 'down' to open profile menu, 'left' to cancel alarms
- paHost icon on WM 6.5 should be correctly positioned for smaller title-bar
- Keypad should open on all devices for Voicemail (if option on first tab is enabled naturally wink
- ActiveSync profile switch only for named device should be more reliable (ActiveSync switch is delayed 20 seconds on connect
- App. icons have been improved, and settings now has different icon so you can diff. between host and settings icon

Still open:
- LG Incite backlight, just waiting for final registry info to finish that
- skinnable icon at top of screen, just fixing issues if you use an icon larger than 16x16 (32x32 on VGA)
- On new install (not upgrade), question on WM 6.5 to automatically enable host if wished

Bluetooth on Touch Pro2 / iPAQ:
- Bluetooth should now work on most of these devices automatically without any change in "Power User" settings after upgrade.
If it doesn't work then in "Power User" settins try setting "blueToothFix" to 1, 2 or 4, otherwsie send email, if you do need this option please send me an email!

Skinning Options for paHost, add these to your favourite skin if wished:

Host_Offset=x,y -> location where phoneAlarm window is drawn (by default 30 pixels from top)
Host_Frame=width -> border width around phoneAlarm window (none by default)
Host_Alpha=x -> transparency of frame (0=invisible, 127 = 50%, 255 = solid)
Host_BackColor=r,g,b -> colors for frame (and background of all skin if "Transparent" set in paHost tab)
Host_BackColor2=r,g,b -> second color for gradient, set same as Host_BackColor for solid color

- Will be added tonight, send email if you want to test it before next update smiley
Host_Image=filename -> image to use on title-bar for phoneAlarm (must be in \phoneAlarm folder, NOT skin folder)
Supported formats: .bmp, .gif, .jpg or .tga (PNG not supported)

v2.23 beta (Build 382):
This version fixes the Touch Pro2 "Contacts" bug for voicemail with keypad
In addition the skinnable image for paHost is now supported

Installer will now automatically enable paHost on WM 6.5 devices on a fresh install, and several other minor WM 6.5 issues on installation are also fixed.
paHost now also supports centering (vertically and or horizontally)

Host_Offset=x,y -> location where phoneAlarm window is drawn (by default 30 pixels from top)
-1 will center window

Host_Image=filename -> image to use on title-bar for phoneAlarm (MUST be in skin folder with all other images for skin)
Supported formats: .bmp, .gif, .jpg or .tga (PNG not supported)
This image can be any size you like - but only portion that fits in title-bar will be drawn
